Adze, Toki

Complete adze. Light brown/grey stone. The cross-section is trapezoidal with the back narrower than the front. The surface is mostly ground with bruising on the sides of the butt and some minor flake scars. There is a reduction in the stone on the sides of the butt. The sides of the blade taper in from the cutting edge to the poll. There is no differentiation between the bevel and the blade. The cutting edge is chipped, curved and sharp. There is a light brown/golden band of colour on the poll. "C.I" is written in pencil on the bevel.
