Adze, Toki

Complete adze. Black and light grey stone. Cross-section is trapezoidal, with the back narrower than the front. Surface is ground and bruised. Major differentiation between the butt and blade; front is reduced to form ridge. Bevel is demarcated by a ridge. Cutting edge is straight and sharp. "Akatore" inscription.
