Complete adze. Dark green pounamu. Cross-section is rectangular. Surface is ground, with sawing marks on both sides. No differentiation between butt and blade. Poll has broken off. Bevel is demarcated by a line. Cutting edge is sharp but flaked; large flake missing from proper left side. "Kaiapoi" inscription
