Gouge, Whao
Broken pounamu gouge, lower blade remaining. The cross section is trapezoidal, with the front narrower than the back. The surface is ground, with flaking originating from the break on the front. The back is flaked. The bevel is demarcated by a diagonal straight line. The cutting edge is straight and sharp.
