Gouge, Whao
Complete pounamu gouge. The cross section is circular. The surface is ground towards the blade and bruised towards the poll. The bevel is demarcated by a curved line and concave mark. The cutting edge is curved and sharp, with some chipping. There is a historic break through the centre of the gouge, which has been repaired.
