Adze, Toki
Complete adze. Stone. Dark grey. Cross-section of blade is rectangular, cross-section of butt is oval. Surface is ground, with some bruising at butt. Minor differentiation between butt and blade, sides and front reduced, forming small shoulder. Proper left of poll reduced. Bevel is continuous with blade, cutting edge is sharp and curved. Sandhills near Invercargill written on sticker on back. Near Invercargill written on front. Dr. Hocken's Collection printed on sticker on front.
