Complete piupiu. The flax tags are scraped and unscraped, with the scraped sections dyed alternating faded blue, red and green. The tags are accompanied by five twisted whenu that are tied in decorative bows at the waistband and have pairs of tassels at both the waistband and ends. The waistband is approximately 11cm wide with the horizontal weft rows dyed in red and the vertical warp rows dyed in a faded blue. The top of the waistband is a three ply whiri (plait), with any extensions at each end broken away.

Complete waka huia. The shape of the waka huia is rectangular box. The waka huia has four spirals along the length, one wide on sides and base but two wide on the lid. There are isolated inlay paua eyes on base and lid with some paua filling irregular gaps in ornamentation on the lid. There is a simple head each end with no eyes and a tongue that curls back to join box forming hole for suspending cord. There is an 8'mm perforation in the centre of lid. There are flat tongues on the lid (1 each end) that fit into sockets on the top of the waka huia. There is modern fibre cord for suspension through each knob.

Lid of a waka huia. Dark brown in colour. Lid is half-circular in cross section. There are square projections at each end, each with a drilled perforation, although one has been filled in. The exterior surface is carved in eight sections of a rauponga (ridge and triangular notch) pattern. Two large reliefs of human figures dominate; their heads point toward either end. The figures have a full moko with paua shells inlaid in the eyes. The bodies are also decorated in spirals and geometric carvings. One three-fingered hand rests on the stomach and the other rests on thigh. Legs curve inward with three-toed feet. The tops of the heads are pointed toward the ends. The lid has previously been sawn in half and another section of carving has been cut away; all parts have been glued or nailed back together.

Complete putorino flute. At the proximal end there is a large central bore with a wide lip running around it. On the front face of the putorino there is a large projection in human face form, finely carved, with notched paua shell inlay for the eyes. The putorino is wrapped with thin fibre just below this face. The putorino widens at the middle, where there is another carved human face, with the mouth acting as a sound hole. This craving also features notched paua shell inlay around the eyes. There is another length of fine fibre wrapped around the putorino below this carving. On the back side opposite this face, there is a drilled hole of unknown purpose. The putorino tapers to a thin distal end. There is a small projection of a carved human face, forehead to the distal end. This carving has been partially broken, with only one paua shell inlay remaining, and with a red wax-like substance on the lower face. Burnt and broken poutokomanawa (carved wharenui building component). Male figure, not stylized, with head large in comparison to body. Painted dark red with black lips and eyes. Moko also painted in black but obscured on proper right side (as a result of fire exposure?). Nose and chin indicated. Five-fingered proper left hand rests on abdomen, proper right hand below. Right arm and hand have been broken and burnt (thumb is the only remaining digit). Entire left leg is missing. Burn marks apparent throughout, especially below abdomen and on the back side. Attached at the feet to a square black pedestal.

Two sandals woven from harakeke (flax). Two whenu (strands) are overlaid for reinforcement and woven using the takitahi pattern. Braided tapiki (finish) along the heel ends with trimmed harakeke added as a possible decorative or cushioning element adhered with a knot. Looped harakeke runs around the outer edge of each sandal laced with knotted harakeke.

Piece of worked wood, use unknown. Surface is charred and dessicated. Indentation on one side. Remnants of adhesive on other side.

Complete patu aruhe (fern root beater). The beater has a diamond cross-section. There is distinct differentiation between the handle the beater end. The handle is long and smooth with a circular cross-section, ending is a distinct knob.

Complete kahawai lure. Curved wooden shank with notches at head and base for lashings. White iridescent shell inlay. Muka lashings at head and base. Twisted cord attached at head. Straight iron point with internal barb.

Broken and weathered hoe (waka paddle), blade remaining. Light brown wood. Surface is cracked and flaking with borer holes throughout. Slightly concave in cross section, with a thin ridge running along the centre of the back/concave side.

Piece of worked wood, use unknown. Surface is dessicated and possibly a little charred. One side is flattened and relatively smooth, the other has a longitudinal ridge. Tapered at one end.

Complete carving of a mal figure, very large. There is a large projection off the end of the head that is perforated. The face is carved in a full moko that has been filled in black. There is paua shell inlay for the eyes with black, circular pieces of wood for pupils. There is a simple hei tiki carving around the figure's neck with both three-fingered hands resting on his chest. Chipped around feet and attached to a base. The back is flat. The figure is pained red.

Complete wooden bowl. Oval shaped. Flattened at the bottom. Sides flare out with a pouring spout 28mm wide one end, small perforated knob at other end. Several other perforations and drill marks at rim of knobbed end, as well as a chip that has been broken off and glued back on. Rim is broken on one side.

Small wooden bowl. Oval shaped. Base rounded externally and internally. Flares to rim with sides lower than each end. Undecorated. No handles. Rim broken in parts.

Complete toki poutangata, hafted adze. The haft is finely carved wood in a variety of styles. The distal end of the handle has a two-sided anthropomorphic head, with paua shell inlaid eyes. There is a perforation through the handle between the knob and handle. The handle itself has basically longitudinal carving lines along the length of the handle, with three equally spaced latitudinal lines, and one curved area of carving near the distal end. There is a circular paua shell inlay on one side below the human figure on the heel of the haft. This anthropomorphic figure has legs apart, penis, four toes per feet, bent knees with spiral design on buttocks and shoulders, protruding tongue, paua inlay eyes, face mostly uncarved. The adze itself protrudes through to base of neck, set in triangular shaped slot, with fibre wrapped around the shoulder of the blade and end of the haft. Complete tekoteko of a male figure. Made of heavy wood, and painted a dark red. There is indistinct writing around the forehead. There is a ta moko on the lower portion of the figure's face. The carving on the body is done in the rauponga style. There is a carved projection below the figures feet that is partially broken. There is one large perforation on this projection. The figure is concave at the back, so the arms, buttocks and sides of head project backwards. There is a large hole at the back of the head, and four smaller holes on the back of the arms, two on each side.

Complete tekoteko (gable carving). Dark brown wood carved with a human figure standing on a human head. Top figure has lower lip which curves upward and underneath lower lip in the centre. Slanted eyes. Broken nose. Proper left eyebrow has an incomplete curved grooved carving. Right arm curves upward and rests on chest, with a four-fingered hand. Left hand rests on stomach with three fingers and a thumb. Carving across figure's body is in a taratara-a-kae (zig-zag) pattern. Head figure has slanted eyes and curved geometric carvings for eyebrows. Nostrils, lips, and four teeth are depicted.

Complete hue (gourd container or calabash). Dark brown in colour. Elongated shape with a bulbous base and a curved narrow neck. Irregular hole on one side of the neck base. Cracked throughout the surface of the base.

Broken totara tauihu (prow) of waka taua (war canoe). All carving are worn, especially on the proper right. Fretwork carving of two spirals on body, top of spirals broken off. Large human face protruding forwards, tongue protruding with the top half of the face missing. There is piko-o-rauru (double spiral) carving on the cheeks and worn carving on the lips and tongue. The face has been reattached using three metal pins. A full figure lies horizontal at the base of the two vertical spirals, split in two by the spirals. A third face is carved at the rear of the prow. There is worn tuara-kuri (diamond notches) carving on the prow. The proper right lashing board is broken off, with the front-most lashing hole remaining. The proper left lashing board has four drilled holes remaining.
