Brussels Ethnology museum is enormous with replica Greek temple and the best Egyptian section in Europe. It is Professor Capart's speciality. Table companion Mr William A McLennan Scotch Surgeon knows Dr Bell Professor of Mathematics at Otago.

letter, 15/09/1935, Willi Fels to H D Skinner, Inauga adze bought by Hornsey for £15. Rudder gudgeon from H M S Bounty good acquisition. Spent time with Oldman saw his collection of 40 tikis dozens of feather boxes several hafted adzes, meres of wood bone stone and greenstone. Laiahas? Oars, feeding funnels, flutes whistles and a lot of fine wood carving. Returned here from Vienna on 13th and am going to Ireland. Sorry to hear of Benham's accident.

letter, 10/10/1935, Willi Fels to H D Skinner, Mentions that Mr Joyce of the British Museum has identified a girdle as a Syrian - Persian necklace of the early 19th Century. It is for Fels collection. Mentions space for the temporary exhibition. Museum Belfast: Mr J.A.S. Stendallis assistant curator. Fels likes heir collections including a 9 x 4 inch tiki with flax string attached. The Dublin Museum: curator is an Austrian-German Dr Mahr who will send some Irish material. Fels saw the Tel Elamarua finds with Charles Brasch, who advises that the museum will receive a block 18 inches square with a relief of a priest, part of a painted tile, some small rings and a bronze knife.
