letter, 10/10/1935, Willi Fels to H D Skinner, Mentions that Mr Joyce of the British Museum has identified a girdle as a Syrian - Persian necklace of the early 19th Century. It is for Fels collection. Mentions space for the temporary exhibition. Museum Belfast: Mr J.A.S. Stendallis assistant curator. Fels likes heir collections including a 9 x 4 inch tiki with flax string attached. The Dublin Museum: curator is an Austrian-German Dr Mahr who will send some Irish material. Fels saw the Tel Elamarua finds with Charles Brasch, who advises that the museum will receive a block 18 inches square with a relief of a priest, part of a painted tile, some small rings and a bronze knife.
