letter, 19/06/1934, W. Maurice Brown to H. D. Skinner, Replying to letter from 20th of April, thanks for offer of paying expenses for securing a sample of a post. Mentions of things being against trip to Urewera, has to go over the school holidays, talks of an operation to himself and an accident to his father putting the initially planned trip for May the 20th-25th on hold. Mentions of discussed posts, one in not best state of preservation and the other in excellent repair, mentions it could be hard to retrieve due to remoteness, even with horses. Weight and length of posts is quite considerable, not easy to move in dense bush, can be cut in order to be moved. Shows drawings of how it could be cut out for Skinner to choose from. Browns trip to Dunedin post-poned indefinitely.
