letter, 05/09/1933, A Buchanan, Balclutha to H. D. Skinner, Happy to place 2 adzes on loan to the in museum. My Father was on the Philip Laing in 1848 and the adzes were dug up on the on our farm on the Taieri Plain 50 years ago. They are greatly prized by the family.
