Notes that Auckland Museum is beautiful and has a "strong Fijian section." Reflects that Otago has a very good Melanesian and Cook Island collection but regrets that there is lack of space to display these.

Skinner notes that Maori textiles as thesis subject will meet the standard for a Master of Arts degree in New Zealand. It will be "an important part of the course in honours."
