Excavation notes, Excavation notes. Evidence of Moa Hunters camp site at Hooper's Inlet, Otago Peninsula. Includes description of site environment and locating features. Artefacts found include, old copper tokens, 1836 shilling, moa bones, framents of leg bones, oven stones, fragments of implements, cockle and pipis, fish hook. Bones of fish, bird, seal and penguin. Some artefacts found on visit to Allens beach.
