letter, 11/01/1935 to W J Elvy, In Skinner's absence, thanks for letter from December 23rd, with information on the stone image in Otanerau. No words from Mr March but will let Teviotdale know about the find upon his return from Southland. Checked a paper on Maori adze by H D Skinner, he has figured an adze in Elvy's collection to be from Te Rawa, Marlborough, 21.2cm in length, can you let me know what material this adze is made from, no one made note of it when it was on loan to the museum, information is necessary to complete the description of the figure.
