letter, 01/03/1935, W J Elvy to H D Skinner, Sending by delay post a pendant picked up from Laverique Bay about eight to 10 years ago by Mr G Roadley, wanting information on it would have looked like, has appearance of a big fish hook and appears to be made from granite rock, but no granite rock anywhere in the Pelorus Sound but there is some in Takaka, Nelson. Mr Roadley values this curio and would like it returned to him once it has been examined. Welcome to take a cast of it, Elvy would like one too if this is done. Roadley found it in a pig paddock or yard, could not find further pieces. Roadley's address is; G. Roadley, The Reef or Reel (unsure if transcribed correctly) P.B, Havelock, Marlborough, he would like a letter with Skinner's opinion sent.
