Downes identifies Otago Museum as 'a revelation […] especially in the matter of danification(?)', and recounts having talked to figures at 'The Museum' in Christchurch and The Wellington Museum during his trip. Downes also requests illustration numbers from his book and papers starting with the letter A so he can get prints.
