Returning Rennel Island shark-hook and tapa beater as they are almost identical to those currently in collection. Expresses interest in specimens from Fisher's excavations. Describes his planned travel to America and Europe to develop further museum knowledge and experience. Therefore unlikely to be in Auckland for the Science Congress in 1937, but will be back in time to mark Anthropology papers.
