letter, 08/05/1933, Mr Gourlay to Dr. Benham, Sending worms to be identified from Stephens Island obtained in January 1933, while taking a scientific party out to work on the Fauna and Flora. All the worms he obtained there, welcome to keep any duplicates of interest. Asks if Benham knows the name of the large native slug which is in one of the bottles with the worms. Gourlay also investigated the diet of the Tuatara and has around sixty faecal pellets for analysis. Asks if the museum has any duplicate preserved Tuatara as the University of Mexico have enquired for one, he is willing to do an exchange if possible. Had permission from the Government to handle Tuataras on Stephens Island and examined about sixty, he could not take living or dead specimens. Asks if Wetas are required for class work this year, as they had been requested around this time last year.
