letter, 12/12/1934 to Judge H. F. Ayson, Thanks for letter from the 28th of November and also on behalf of the Museum Management Committee for the gift of Cook Island materials. The inaki is a new piece for the collections and is of great interest. The set of fans and the kaa from Manihiki, the urunga from Mitiaro and the two Mangaian pieces were also greatly appreciated, also the maps of Aitutaki and Mauke. Happy to supply timbers for a boat, or whatever would be adequate for the return of the double canoe, as it would be a fine centre piece for the Cook Island collection, which is now thoroughly representative. Looks forward to seeing Ayson early next year, wishes well for Christmas and 1935 from Mrs. Skinner, the Author (assuming H. D.?) and Dick. Ayson's kindness is often recalled by them.
