letter, 16/06/1934, S. R. Mitchell to H. D. Skinner, Replying to letter from April 9th, a conference of museum directors has been made an association matter. States that a copy of a letter has been enclosed. Mitchell's committee would be willing to assist with a paper. The copy of the enclosed letter is from Australian and New Zealand Association for the Advancement of Science - Section F - Anthropology. Dated 11/06/1934. Copied letter is suggesting the Central Council advises on representation to the various State and Federal Governments that a conference of directors of various Museums take place during the Melbourne Centenary meeting of the association to discuss museum matter generally. Such a course has been advocated for in a report on Australian and New Zealand Museums by Messrs. Markham and Richards.
