letter, 21/02/1934, Mr T A C Hall, 26 Bracken Avenue, Epsom, Auckland to H D Skinner, He begins the letter talking about the shipment of the tukutuku. He just returned from the camp at Muriwai where he cut kakaho for the project and saw Ulm leave with the first trans-Tasman mail. He includes information about the creation of dye used in the tukuku. He has not used swamp in the dyes and explains his reasoning for not using swamp, and also suspects his preferred hinau will be extinct in the future. He mentions it is wrong to have the Ngati Porou Epa in a Ngatiawa house as they enemies. Then he talks about his interaction with George Graham about which house is best - Hotunui or Mataatua. He concludes the letter with further plans for the panels he is working on.
