letter, 12/05/1933, G Archey, Auckland Institute and Museum to H D Skinner, Apologises for delay in reply, were still treating a couple of badly cracked wooden articles, once all boxed up, the shipping strike held up postage. The "Wingatui" is sailing this afternoon and they managed to get the box on board of there. Goes on to inform Skinner the carving arrived safely, asks if there's any particulars to the tribe the carver belonged to, his name and the probable date of the work.
