Letter, 12/09/1937, Cook Island Administration Resident Agents Office. name? to H D Skinner, Letter to accompany x3 items; fish hook, adze and part of a double canoe. Came from a man named Nahemia, born approx 1845, before first missionaries. Object old but probably not from "heathen times". Iron adze not important but haft genuine old type, lashing new but meant to be in old style. The part of the canoe is the cross brace, old (heathen times) but recent additions of shell. Items for sale but if don't have money send old clothes. Most material here taken by NZ Parliament party of 1900 or 1901. Trying to secure a scrapper. Comment about Durey Low.
