Letter, 29/06/1937, Mr Downes to H D Skinner, Regarding the missing sketches and plan. they were certainly not in the case which I unpacked neither were they in the case forwarded to Nelson. They were not placed in exhibition with the case and this is the first I have heard of their existence. I do not have anything to do with the incoming correspondence – but sometimes letters are shown to me., I saw Burnet (sp?) in regard to the loss. He disclaims any knowledge, but at my suggestion has promised to look through the paper in the office., I can not understand how they have gone astray – but if Burnett received them they will probably turn up as other things have done.
