Letter, 27/12/1935, W J Durrad, The Vicarage, Featherston to H D Skinner, A letter explaining my reluctance to publish my MS on the Torres Island. The reason has to do with the Rivers' "History of Melanesian Society" in which there are many inaccuracies as pointed out by Bishop Williams of Waiapu. This is due to trtanslation between various dialects. I fear the same problems have occured in my manuscript.
