Letter, 13/09/1937, Mr R Crewes to H D Skinner, Forwarding Maori sinker with grooves, 2 chisels and some flints and stone found at Long Point. Photos of two skulls. One found up a creek opposite where Captain Hayward's schooner sank. The Maori skull with sand ground teeth was part of a complete skeleton and the unshapely adze was found with it. The pounder is heavy and I will bring it up when I can. It is well balanced and easy to use.
