letter, 20/12/1936, David Teviotdale to H D Skinner, Waitaki. Chapman met us and took us to the hut. Excavated large midden 45 feet by20 feet and up to 3 feet deep. Found some flints, flattened point of moa bone, a drilled moa bone, a large drill point, an unfinished adze. Mr Larnach of the BNZ Waimate has been digging here along with McCully, Buick, Russell
