Buck, Director, Bernice P Bishop Museum, Honolulu, I have returned from a Carnegie trip in Europe and worked with Mr. Fels on securing material, including a shark-tooth surgical knife and double-canoe made in the early contact period from Manihiki you may be interested in. We have a number of carving pieces from an unusual pataka type, but the doorway is missing and I believe it is in your collections.
