letter, 31/10/1936, R.F. Fortune to H.D. Skinner, The collection from the tribe between Ranua and Benabena, New Guinea, is on its way. Inside are bow and arrows, wrist gauntlet, stone adzes, wooden pillow, ornamented and unornamented skirts, bark cloth, knitted back cover worn over the neck, bags, head caps, widow's jobs, nose bones, earrings, knives, hair ornaments, belts etc. Also salt substitute made from grass.
