Letter, 08/04/1919, H D Skinner to Mr Edge-Partington, On the death of his son Harold, killed in action in France, Mr Willi Fels has decided to present to this museum his collection of Maori and Melanesian objects. Discussion re potential sale of lime spoons to complete his collection . Request for details of the rest of the collection that might be available to the museum. On return to NZ was offered a role at the Dominion museum and also Hocken / Otago Museum which he has accepted.
