Incomplete adze. Oval at break, lenticular at blade. Bruised and flaked, some areas ground. Butt not present. Bevel demarcated by faint line. Cutting edge slightly rounded, moderately sharp and heavily chipped.
Vertebrates
Sagittal transection of an Elephant seal skull. This is the left side of the skull, attached to an exhibition base.
Complete comb, manufactured from 19 splinters of wood, including two thinker end pieces. These splinters are connected together by a long length of two-ply fibre that weaves the pieces together. The distal end of the end pieces have knobs that project outwards.

Antiquities
Adze roughout. Dark grey stone. Asymmetrical quadrangular cross-section. The surface is flaked. There is no distinction between the butt and the blade, although the front of the stone slopes down towards the poll. The bevel is roughly indicated with flake scars. The cutting edge is irregular. There is a layer of lighter grey/red stone on the back with "4" written on it. There are patches of dried adhesive on the back, and two areas of the remnant of paper that had been adhered to the surface.
