Complete adze. Cross-section is rectangular. Surface of blade is ground, becoming bruised on butt. Crack running around centre where adze has been broken and subsequently fixed. Major differentiation between butt and blade, front and sides reduced creating noticeable shoulder. Bevel demarcated by lines, and slightly concaved. Cutting edge is curved, but heavily chipped. 2 prominent lugs on poll, concaved between lugs. Otago written on back.

Complete stone gouge. The cross section is circular. The surface is ground with flaking at the poll and at the cutting edge. The blade is bevelled on both sides and they are demarcated with straight lines. The cutting edge is chipped.

Complete adze. Cross-section is lenticular. Surface is ground. Undifferentiated between butt and blade. Sides tapered towards poll. Bevel is continuous with blade. Cutting edge is sharp and curved, with large chip on proper left front.

Roughout Irregular trapezoid with back narrower than the front. Flaked surface Blade tapers in slightly towards the butt but no differentiation The bevel is concave and is clearly demarcated by ridges at the sides and a minor curved ridge at the chin. The cutting edge is asymmetrical, longer on the proper left side.

Complete adze. Cross-section is oval. Surface is ground. Major differentiation between butt and blade. Ridge on front, after which front is reduced and sides taper towards poll. Bevel is concave. Cutting edge is sharp and curved.

Complete adze. Cross-section is trapezoidal but rounded, with back narrower than front. Surface is ground. Undifferentiated between butt and blade, tapered towards poll. Bevel is continuous with blade. Cutting edge is sharp and curved.

Broken adze (poll broken) Cross-section is rectangular. Surface is ground. Undifferentiated between butt and blade. Bevel demarcated by line. Cutting edge sharp and straight. Chipped on front and back on proper right side of cutting edge.

Complete adze Blade is trapezoidal or quadrangular with back narrower than front. Butt is oval. The surface of the front is ground, with bruising at the poll end. The surface of the back is bruised down to the chin, and the bevel is ground. The butt has major differentiation, demarcated by two ridges at shoulder. The bevel is demarcated by a prominent chin, and is curved at the cutting edge. The cutting edge is round, smooth and sharp. There are 3 joints on the blade and shoulder where the adze has been glued.

Incomplete adze. Oval/rectangular. Bruised with minor flaking. Butt not present. Bevel not present. Cutting edge blunt, rounded and chipped.
