Fashion FWD >> Disruption through Design is a celebration of fabulous frocks, beautiful couture, and the voices of society's disruptors.
The exhibition has been designed in-house with a swathe of local and international collaborators: selected iD Emerging Designer finalists since inception and from around the world; Dunedin's top designers; and selected items from Otago Museum's vast textile collection, we fuse the lines between historical and current innovative narratives. This fashion is brazen, chic and defiant.
Couture is, at its best, a creative fist raised and railing against convention. These garments disrupt through design. They crash through stale tradition and bristle against prejudice, intent on forging a better humanity.
