Paua shell containing kokowai. Dirt covers the pigment. The edge of the shell shows come chipping.
Broken worked bone, a pendant or fishhook fragment. Curved. Perforation and groove at the proximal end, broken at the distal end.
Broken tattoo chisel, hafting end remaining. End is reduced to form two prongs.
Complete pounamu pendant. Light green with high translucency. Surface is ground with flaking. Rectangular shape, tapered to a knob at the proximal end, used for suspension. Serrations along the distal end.
Unfinished tattoo chisel. The cutting edge has been finished with teeth. The sides are rough. The hafting end has been shaped, but not finished.
Unfinished tattoo chisel. Cutting edge is finished, with small teeth, some broken off. Hafting edge is shaped, but unfinished.
Seal tooth pendant. Notch at root end for suspending (possibly a broken suspension hole).
Tooth pendant with suspension hole at root end. Reduced on either side of suspension hole. Large crack down length of tooth.
Complete bone minnow lure shank. Perforation drilled from both sides at the head. Head is tapered to a dull point. Base has a knob with two projections on either side.
Piece of worked bone, use unknown, possibly a pendant or a fishhook shank. Shape and cross section are both ovoid. One end has a rounded edge and a perforation drilled from both sides. Other end has a projection that is squared off, with a perforation drilled from both sides.
Piece of worked pounamu. Mid-green with silver and black inclusions and a dark green-grey band running diagonally from the proximal end to the distal side. Surface is ground. Teardrop-shaped, tapered at the proximal end and broad and rounded at the distal end. Small drill mark at the proximal end indicates this may have been intended as a pendant.
Complete pounamu pendant. Dark green and high translucency. Surface is ground on one side and flaked on the other. Tapered to the proximal end with a knob that is notched on each side and in the centre. Distal end has a bevel on one side, demarcated by a line.
