Complete flute. Cross-section more oval than circular. There are triple-lined striations wrapping across it diagonally, in a crosshatched pattern. There are three perforations along the top, and one partial perforation at the proximal end. There are visible repairs where previously broken at the proximal end.

Complete flute, with light chipping on either end. There are several longitudinal cracks, one of which is split wide open. The other cracks are filled with an adhesive. There are four perforations, three along the top of the flute, and one at the end. At one end of the flute, there are diagonal striations.

Complete but unfinished flute. Finished at either end, but no finger hole perforations. There is the circular drill mark at one end, but it does not go all the way through. Shallow striations on one side in a chevron pattern.

Wooden flute; koauau. A longer example unusual in having seven holes on top side. A further flat knotch section has been removed on underside opposite forth hole. Both ends cut flush. Diagonal surface cut just below sixth hole.
