Incomplete adze. Butt end and part of the blade. Rectangular cross section Surface is ground with bruising on the sides and butt. No differentiation between the butt and the blade. Bevel end not present but broken edge has been smoothed out, possibly for further use.
Complete adze. Pounamu. Light green. Cross-section is rectangular. Surface is ground, with patches of bruising. Undifferentiated between butt and blade, sides taper towards poll. Bevel is demarcated by a line, cutting edge is sharp and curved, heavily chipped on proper left and proper right sides. "Murdering B" written on back.
Complete adze. Cross-section is oval. Surface is mostly ground, natural rough patches are present. Three straight lines lie on the blade. No differentiation between butt and blade, sides taper towards poll. Bevel is continuous with blade, blade is sharp and curved, chipped.
Complete adze. Cross-section is rectangular. Surface is mostly ground, small patch of flaking on the proper left half of back. No differentiation between butt and blade. Bevel is continuous with blade, blade is sharp and curved, chipped.
Complete adze. Stone. Mid grey. Cross-section is trapezoidal, with back narrower than front. Surface is ground on most of front and back, with some bruising on sides and on front of butt. Bevel is demarcated by a line, cutting edge is sharp and curved, small chip on front proper right. "Murdering Beach" written on back. "MB" written on front.
Complete adze. Cross section is rectangular. The surface is ground, bruised and flaked. The butt is undifferentiated. The bevel is continuous with the blade. The cutting edge is blunt and a large fragment is missing.
Broken adze (all but cutting edge remaining). Pounamu. Mid green, light green, light brown. Cross-section is rectangular. Surface is mostly ground, with some bruising on sides and poll. Undifferentiated between butt and blade, sides taper towards poll. Bevel is demarcated by a line, cutting edge chipped off. "Murdering Beach" written on back.
Broken pounamu gouge, small portion of distal portion remaining. Surface is ground. Light green in colour. Bevel is demarcated by a ridge and an indentation. Cutting edge is curved and sharp.
Complete pounamu gouge. The cross section is circular. The surface is ground with flaking at the poll. The bevel is demarcated with a curved line. The cutting edge is straight and sharp.
Complete chisel. Bevel demarcated by lines on both sides, cutting edge is sharp and straight. Cross-section is oval, no tapering of sides. Proximal end is rough, other surfaces are ground.
Broken pounamu chisel, butt not present. Light green and silver in colour. Surface is ground. Cross section is rectangular. Bevel is demarcated by a line. Cutting edge is sharp and straight.
