The surface is mostly ground with bruising on the sides of the butt and flake scars on the sides and front of the blade and the poll. There is no distinction between the butt and the blade. The sides of the blade taper in towards the poll. The bevel is smooth and continuous with the blade.The cutting edge is sharp and curved with flake scars on the proper right.

Complete adze. Black stone. The cross-section is rectangular. The surface is mostly ground with bruising on the front of the butt and flake scars at the poll and cutting edge. There is no distinction between the butt and the blade. The sides of the blade taper towards the poll. The bevel is smooth and demarcated by a light curved line. The cutting edge is sharp but chipped.

Complete adze. Grey stone. Surface is bruised and ground. Cross-section is rectangular. Major differentiation between butt and blade; front and sides reduced to form two ridges on the butt. Bevel is continuous with the blade. Cutting edge is not present due to flaking. "Waihola" inscription on front

There is no distinction between the butt and the blade. The sides taper in towards the poll. A straight line distinguishes the bevel from the blade. The cutting edge is curved and sharp with a chip on the proper right.

Complete chisel. Pounamu. Mid green, light green. Cross-section is rectangular. Surface is ground, with some bruising on sides. Undifferentiated between butt and blade, sides taper towards poll. Bevel is continuous with blade, cutting edge is sharp and straight, chipped on proper right side of cutting edge. "Moeraki" written down proper right side.

Complete gouge. Pounamu. Mid green, light green. Cross-section is oval. Surface is ground on butt and bruised on blade. Undifferentiated between butt and blade. Bevel is demarcated by a line and is concave, cutting edge is chipped off.

Small fragment missing from proper right front blade. Major differentiation between butt and blade, front heavily reduced forming shoulder, rising again so the butt appears to have a grooved grip. Sides of butt taper towards poll. Bevel is continuous with blade, cutting edge is sharp and curved, a few small chips along cutting edge. "Moeraki" written on back.
