Adze, Toki
Complete adze. Trapezoidal cross-section with the front wider than the back. The surface is ground on the blade and bruised on the sides and front of the butt. There is a curved line of bruising at the base of the butt. The sides of the butt are reduced and then curve back out again towards the poll. The poll is blunt and flaked. The bevel is continuous with the blade and the cutting edge is straight and sharp with a few chips.
