Adze, Toki
Complete adze. Stone. Dark grey. Cross-section is trapezoidal, with back narrower than front and front rounded. Surface is lightly bruised, becoming ground towards lower blade and bevel. Major differentiation between butt and blade, front and sides reduced forming small shoulder. Butt front reduced till poll end of butt, which is unreduced. Bevel is continuous with blade, cutting edge is blunt and curved, heavily chipped. "Bull Creek Otago" written on poll end.
