Adze, Toki
Broken adze, poll missing. The adze has been broken into two pieces and glued together. Quadrangular cross-section. The surface is ground and flaked. On the front of the blade where the two pieces are joined there is an indentation from stone that has flaked off. There is no distinction between the butt and the blade. The bevel is continuous with the blade. There is the remnants of a large round piece of paper adhered to the back of the blade. The cutting edge is straight and chipped.
