Complete Oval cross-section The surface is ground and bruised. There is a slight reduction on the top of the blade towards the butt. The bevel is demarcated by a faint line. The sides of the blade taper in slightly from the cutting edge the poll. The cutting edge is sharp, curved and chipped, and is missing a large portion of the true left edge.
