Adze, Toki
Complete adze. Stone. Dark grey, mid grey. Cross-section of butt is oval, cross-section is blade is rectangular. Surface is ground on back, parts of sides, and front lower blade. Surface is bruised on parts of sides and butt, with some flaking at poll. Minor differentiation between butt and blade, sides reduced and then taper towards poll, which comes to a point. Bevel is continuous with blade, cutting edge is sharp and curved, one chip from middle of cutting edge.
