Adze, Toki
Complete adze. Cross-section is oval on butt, trapezoidal on blade, with front narrower than back and front and back rounded, cross-section at poll end is triangular, with apex to front. Surface is mostly bruised, ground on sides of blade, lower bevel and very lower blade front. Major differentiation between butt and blade, front and sides reduced. Bevel is continuous with blade, though surface changes from ground to bruised. Cutting edge is sharp and curved. "Waitaki" written on front and back.
