Adze, Toki
Complete adze. Basalt. Black. Cross-section is oval. Surface is ground on lower blade, bruised on sides and butt. Minor differentiation between butt and blade, back reduced after bevel, sides taper towards poll. Bevel is demarcated by a line, butt reduces after. Cutting edge is sharp, curved, heavily chipped. "MB" written on back.
