Pukaea, Trumpet
Complete pukaea. Large pukaea with circular cross-section, manufactured from two internally hollowed pieces of wood, wrapped nearly from end to end by fibre. Half of the fibre, from the mid-section to the distal end is dyed black. The proximal end is narrow, sides flare to a wide distal end. The distal end has carved, triangular projections around the edge. There are three small metal nails at the distal end where the twine ends.
