Adze, Toki
Complete adze. Black stone. Cross-section is trapezoidal on the blade, with back narrower than front, and half-circular on the butt. Surface is ground on the blade and bruised on the butt. Major differentiation between butt and blade, with sides and front reduced to form shoulders. Bevel is demarcated by a curved line and a change in surface. Cutting edge is curved and sharp, with a flake missing from the centre. "Waimate. S.C." inscription on the front.
