Adze, Toki
Complete unfinished adze. Dark grey stone. Oval cross-section. The surface is mostly bruised with flake scars at the butt. There is a reduction in the stone on the front of the butt and the sides are flaked. The bevel is smooth and flat and demarcated by a line of bruising. There is a very similar bevel on the front of the adze as well. The cutting edge is straight and sharp.
