Adze, Toki

Complete adze. Grey stone. Trapezoidal cross-section with the back narrower than the front. The surface is mostly ground with bruising on the sides of the butt. There are flake scars on the front and back of the butt and on the poll. The stone is bruised and reduced at the base of the butt on the sides and front. The bevel is demarcated by an asymmetrical curved ridge. The cutting edge is curved and sharp.
