Adze, Toki
Large incomplete adze, poll missing. Black stone. Trapezoidal cross-section with the back narrower than the front. Ground surface with flake scars on the cutting edge and the top of the butt. There is no distinction between the butt and the blade. The sides of the blade taper in from the cutting edge towards the poll. The bevel is demarcated by a curved ridge. The cutting edge is sharp and chipped.
