Adze, Toki

Complete adze. Black stone. Quadrangular cross-section. The surface is ground and flaked on the blade and bruised on the butt. There is major differentiation between the butt and the blade. There is a straight shoulder on the front of the adze and a reduction in the stone on the front and sides of the stone. The bevel is smooth and continuous with the blade. The cutting edge is oblique and sharp. "Argellite" is written in pencil on the back of the blade.
